CLOSED: HELP!

hi, i want to post in garden foes, but i'm not a paid subscriber. hopefully, one of you green thumbs hanging around in here can help me out.

so, my plant is dying, and these gross grey things are all over the place in the soil.. does anyone know what they are?

They look like pellets of timed-release fertilizer to me...can't think of a brand at the moment, but they're little capsules that open and release fertilizer at certain temperatures or conditions.... I'm too lazy to go look in the shed LOL

Looks like a dracena in a pot? What is the plant and what are the symptoms? BTW, I can't imagine why one wouldn't subscribe. This is probably the greatest web site on the Internet!!! And cheap for what you get!!!
