running pliers.....tools in general

I need to buy a decent pair of running pliers, I think. Something ajustable.

Also can someone explain the difference between what are called running pliers and gozier pliers as far as function.

One last thing, will I be able to "nibble" shapes out of stained glass with either of these tools or should I just wait till I can buy a good ring saw or a grinder?

I'm not making stained glass images, I do mosaics with stained glass or at least hope to :)
