How to label iris plants

What is the convention for labeling iris plants? I know what it is for daylilies, but wonder if a different approach is used for irises.

in ground or dug for selling or trading

In the ground -- I use EON markers, and I print Avery clear labels to stick on them.

I use inexpensive fake wood (thick vinyl) blinds, cut into sections, and write the names on them using a cattle tag marker that I purchased from the Farmers Coop.

What I was wondering is what information is usually put on the label -- name of the cultivar, hybridizer and year? Anything else?

name year and hybridizer is what i put on my metal tags
