I was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration about 10 years ago. I see my opthamologist every 6 months, to track the progress. Today I had my 6 month check up, and got bad news. The macular degeneration has progressed more rapidly in this 6 months than at any other time in this 10 year period. I will be put on a regimine of an exam every 3 months, diet modification, vitamin therapy, and a new prescription which will enable me to be able to read the newspaper.

I was just wondering how many others have this disease, and would you want to post here about your condition, and how you are coping.
