HI everyone. I finally have gotten around to sorting and organzing some old papers. Want to do scrapbooks for both children of all their school stuff from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Unfortunately, some of the papers have been stored in a room where it is a bit damp, and they were stored in cardboard boxes. Some of the exercise books with staples,-the staples are rusty, so I will not be able to use those. Some of them will be okay. But all books and papers smell damp and musty. I read that if you put them in the freezer , that the smell would go away. NOPE, didn't work. Have also read about using baking soda, or kitty litter. Hubby suggests diatomaceous earth. Has anyone any experience with this??
Thanks for your help.
