Oh you are so lucky to have such a beautiful area for your roses and clematis. I've been wanting Felicia, and Eden is so beautiful. What a great bunch of roses and clematis.
I love the bench -- and where did you get those pillars. I could use one of those for my Tess d'ubervilles.

Please can you get some pics of these next year when they are blooming?

'Huldine' is one of the BEST white Clematis flowers and combining it with Rose, 'Red Eden' will be stunning.

I just planted C. 'Versailles' http://www.clematis.hull.ac.uk/new-clemdetail.cfm?dbkey=2974 with a hardy Hibiscus shrub, C. 'Piilu' http://www.clematis.hull.ac.uk/new-clemdetail.cfm?dbkey=374 with Rosa, 'Mister Lincoln' and tomorrow I'll be planting C. 'Royal Velours' http://www.clematis.hull.ac.uk/new-clemdetail.cfm?dbkey=582 with a white & pink Crepe Mrytle tree.

Shirley..I am glad to hear you say that about Huldine...I have seen pics of him for years now in everyone's garden and finally decided to get TWO of him..LOL..You will Love Clematis "Royal Velours"...I planted that one this past Spring.....I have never thought of planting Clematis with Hibiscus but my naughty clematis "Spooneri" has been busy sending some vines through my Tropical Hibiscus...Here is a pic of My "Royal Velours" ...He wasn't as vigorous as most viticellas are to me..but I am wondering if that was because my huge Musa Banana Tree shaded him too much but Musa will be bare for first part of the season after I hard Prune RV and I think he will do better next year

Here is my Tropical Hibiscus that "Spooneri" has some vines wrapped in..I caught most of them and undid but some had a strangle hold on it and couldn't get undone...Those Montanas are something else

Would you believe that I don't have Clematis "Huldine" in my garden! I'll need to remedy that!! Everyone loves the fact that "it has a purple-violet stripe on the reverse which shows through as a pink bar". (copied from C.O.T.W.)

Clematis "Royal Velours" is lovely. Don't forget that you just planted it in the Spring, it will only grow bigger & bloom more next Summer!

Your Tropical Hibiscus is gorgeous! Which variety is it? How do you over winter it?

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Shirley...I have had the Hibscus for 10 years in a Pot and finally planted it in the ground last year when I created the new gardens...so it doesn't get over wintered..LOL...it doesn't die down to the ground either...it just puts out new leaves on the old branches...I don't know the name...I saw a site and it said just Double Red?...Here is wjat it looks like during the winter...WOW, seeing that pic makes me realize how much I have done since then..put in a new patio..new bird Patio and the Pergola..
