Keeping the refrigerator door shut

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Anyone have a suggestion on a way to make sure my refrigerator door is tightly shut each time I open and close it? The reason is that my sneaky cat looks at the seal and if it isn't tightly shut - he knows he can pull it open and get into the crunchy cat food I keep on the bottom shelf. This time the door was open for 14 hours while I was at work and I had to throw out all my food. (But not the cat crunchies - ironic, isn't it?)

I try to make sure that I push it hard enough - but sometimes . . . I did adjust the legs on the front so that the whole refrigerator tilts back - but the door doesn't swing shut on it's own. Are there child proof latches for refrigerators?
