Just heard the neatest thing on the radio!
Basically, it said "dial 2-1-1 to arrange for a ride in the case of a Hurricane evacuation. If you do not own a car, and do not have a way to make alternate arrangements, please dial 2-1-1 and local officials will make sure you have a ride for evacuations."
How cool is that?!?

Jen, thats awesome! I'd be curious to know how many lines they have for it. Meaning, I'd hate for someone to get their hopes up in having a way out only to get a busy signal for hours and then it be too late. Make sense?
I'm just happy that local govt's are taking a long hard look at Katrina and are making sure that their evac plans are workable.
