(I know there has to be a thread on dividing canna, but I sure cant find it) I haven't actually, but I got it on good authority from paul that the end of October would be best for me to divide them. So I have a mound of canna beside me. Do I ....
1. pick out the best ones and replant the bed?
and/or
2. dry out the whole lot and store for the winter?

X you should be able to leave your cannas in the ground at winter there. replant the best sell trade or give away. Regards Paul
X, what kind of cannas are you thinning out? i would be up for trades if you are and if they are a canna i dont have.
I'll let everyone know when I do the deed .. it will mostly be un-named grown from seed, probably a few bengal tiger and a yellow called Lemon Slice.

a friend has some cannas she will share by division w/ me......since in the same zoneas xera...i assume fall is better than spring according to a previous post. how many divisions can you get away with and still have a healthy "mother" plant? - jon
