Pitcher Plant ID Please

Madison, MS

This is my first pitcher plant. I found it on one of those little shelves at Walmart. They had several different types of carnivorous plants - I've never seen them carry them before so I picked one up. The problem is the only ID I have on it is that it is a Pitcher Plant. I have no idea what kind or how to take care of it. It did say to water it with rain water or distilled water and if I wanted to replant it to replant it in peat moss. Any Help Would Be Great! Oh Yeah, what about the burned edges on a couple of the pitchers - see I need help!!!

Looks like it is a Sarracenia purpurea venosa. The browing of the edges of some of the pitchers is natural, pitchers die as they get old and should be replaced by new pitchers. I would though snip that old flower stalk for it looks like it has fungus on it.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that - it looked moldy inside. Should I repot it?
