Saving Seed

Byron, IL(Zone 4a)

This has been my first year with Datura and I was pleased to say the least. The flowers are still coming on, but also setting seed pods. Do I just keep watering or when there are no more flowers do I stop???? I saw to let the seed heads dry, but Im not sure what that means. Any help would be great......

don't overwater, when the seeds are ready to collect the seed pod will crack open but be sure to colledct right away as they will spill onto the ground and re-seed for necxt year, and be sure to wear gloves those seeds are very prickly.

My pods are soft when they split. It could be because I have a stocking over it to catch all the seeds. Im just wondering tho.. with them being so toxic should I be wearing gloves when I clean them? Or is it only a danger if they are ingested?

Just be sure to wash your hands when done as with brugs.
