how do I get rid of crape myrtle runners???

Hi!

I have many of these trees in the garden and they are sending runners around them. How do I get rid of them? Will weed killers work?

All I really do is cut them down. It works for a little while, but then new ones shoot up.

remeber the runners are attched to the tree so if you weed kill you might get in to the main tree.


i would just cut them off .
