Candle Wax

I need help! We have candleabras at work that need your help. My boss wants to know if there is anything we can put on painted metal that candle wax won't stick on. The candles get burned every weekend because we have weddings out in our chapel and the wax builds up so they have to get scraped off. But when we scrape off the wax we also scrape off paint so the holders start looking shabby. He was thinking of maybe try silicone but has anyone know if that works? I really appreciate any help ya'll can be!!
