Branches growing down instead of up

Dalton, GA(Zone 7a)

I have several hydrangeas whose branches are growing downwards. It's nice that they root and make new plants for me, but I like the shape of more upward branches. Is there anything I can do to make them grow up or even horizontal instead of down?
Thanks!

Do you have any pictures? My guess is that they are 'leggy' and the weight of the branches makes them sag. Are the leaves actually pointing down, or is it just that the stems sag to the ground?

I don't have a working camera right now so no pics. Several of my hydrangeas are leggy but the worst one for the downward branches is not. I keep pruning back the stems hoping they will grow back upright but some of them still turn down. The leaves grow about horizontal or upwards on the stems.

Thanks for any ideas.

P.S. What do you do abt leggy hydrangeas anyway?
