surfside beach, SC(Zone 8b)

This is a lace cap that changes color from blue to pink and then red.I bought it from a local nursery near Boone NC.I never saw it in bloom so I was both surprised and pleased when I saw it 2 weeks ago.

Hi there,

It looks like Hydrangea serrata 'Beni gaku'. The leaves are sure a serrata. You might find it in this link again.
If this not it, it could be serrata 'Kurenai'.
