Pitcher ID

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

I hope everyone enjoyed the hooded pitcher photos. When I was at USF Botanical Gardens last week, they had three pitcher plants for sale, two green and one red. Of course, I grabbed the reddish one. They are generally very good about tagging things, but this one only said "Saracenia", which I already knew. So if you can ID this one, I'd be really happy. So happy, that I might go to the gardens next week and take pictures of their newly redesigned bog garden. (Ok, it's also the Bromeliad Bonanza next week and I'll be spending my whole paycheck on them!) But I promise I'll sneak over and check out the carnivorous plants as well.

And another one...

That plant looks a lot like Sunbelle Exotics’ Sarracenia leucophylla “H” but it’s probably more likely Sarracenia 'Dana's Delight'. It definitely has a lot of leuco in it. Possibly a result of open pollination in their plant beds so they “weeded” it out, potted it up, and sold it. Whatever it is, it’s beautiful. I love that red.

Is anyone else missing Phil? I sure am.
