Meet "Pele's Fury."..............

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

This one is from last years seedling trials, it has proven it'self very well, blooms constantly, branches over and over, this plant has been in bloom all the time since early May.Grows about 4 feet tall and multiplies well too. Just wish it was self cleaning like Black Dragon. the flower colors look like molten lava so that's where I came up with the name. Pele (the Hawaiian Goddess of volcanoes) and it definately looks like the fury of moving lava....soooooo there ya have it.

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

'Pelé' is one of the Longwood Cannas.
This resembles it.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Guess I better change the name ... :-(

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

There is no need to change the name .. lol ..
Please ..KEEP THE NAME!!! It is a very nice name :-)

I like your canna better than the Longwood one. It looks ALOT more vigorous.
I have been coaxing LW 'Pele' along since I got it.
I didn't even see it growing at Longwood when last there.
the Longwood 'Pele' is pretty, but not that good of a canna.
'Aloha' ..it's sister canna does much better.
