Purple leaves on my F-M-N?

Indianapolis, IN

My forget-me-nots have purple leaves! Not all the leaves, and not all the plants, although they're all planted in the same bed. I started them from seedlings, and they were moving right along once I put them in the ground. Recently, they seem stunted, and the purple leaves come and go. We've tried a fungicide and an insecticide, but they don't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Without knowing a specific fungus, a fungicide is usually pretty useless. Too wet there, perhaps?

One naturapathic way to convert fungal problems is overwhelm them with good bacteria. IE compost ammendment. Of course good active compost not bagged. Then pour over or spray the plant with tea from the same compost. We do this in bacterial and fungal overgrowths in medicine. Just a thought.
