I debated on what forum to post this in because I'm thinking of doing something to my dining room ceiling, the room is about 13x14' (182 sq ft). It is the only room in the house the builder didn't do a great job on drywalling and texturing. There is one spot that has a hairline crack in it (I think the drywall tape wasn't puttied over well enough here) and I don't like the look of it at all. I can't texture but I could tack a new ceiling finish over the room.
I love the metal ceiling finishes coming in copper or tin (is it?).
Has anyone ever done it?
Can anyone suggest a low cost alternative?
I'm thinking I could spend in the range of $200-300 but would like to keep it on the lower end naturally.
