Hello folks,
I'm curious as to how many of you have a 7" QEP or similar wet tile saw. The
question I have is...do you use the blade guard or have you removed it?
For those not familiar with the tile saw, it isn't an actual razor type blade, but
rather a sharpish wheel.
Naturally the company won't even discuss the idea of blade guard removal due to
a potential lawsuit, I'm sure, so that was a no brainer.
I find that the guard is actually in my way. Sure, it might be messier, and it is
a safety guard, but honestly, you're more likely to skim your fingers with the
blade than run your hand down on top of it, or so I tend to think.
Has anyone removed the guard, and if so, had any problems other than more
water spatter?
