Double flower in the squash patch

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I just found this double flower this morning in my squash - it caught my eye and I thought it warranted a photo! I haven't seen one like this before so I'm not sure how common it is, but I thought I'd post it for others to see!

Very nice. I usually have one or two double squash every season. I never noticed them at the bloom stage but only when I harvested the squash.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

I've NEVER had one! Great shot!

Neat! These are male flowers so I won't get double squash, but I will have to keep my eye out for that version of double flowering! Do you get double the flavor? LOL...

Unfortunately, no. :-)

i seen a bunch, we were getting a lot of oddities on 2 acres, even a few triples and quads.

I have had several this season, yellow straight neck siamese twins. No difference in taste, rather odd looking and we are not that close to the nuclear plant!

LOL crazyjansing. Is reubenT also close to the nuclear plant?!

No nuclear plant here - just a greyhound who might be inclined to pee on a squash plant if he thinks he can get away with it.
