I don't usually post on this forum. I know about zero about hydrangeas. I have three and two of them I bought from a farm with a road side stand that was more tag sale than anything else. When I bought the two from the farm last year, they were sad looking. Now they are full and nicely shaped. Over the winter, the deer ate some of the tips off. I was concerned because I know some hydrangeas bloom on old wood (okay, I know a slightly more than zero). But they turned out okay. I don't know what kind they are, does anyone have an idea?
