I threw these together on the spur of the moment and I am very pleased with it. I really like how it turned out. Simple, but pretty.

Those are geraniums in with the spikey thing, right? Really, really, nice contrast!

Gymgirl, those are marigolds. I used to call them geraniums all the time, too :) I'm very happy with how they paired up. The spikey grass is purple fountain grass. Too bad it isn't hardy to my zone :(

Demmstratt, I found the pots at HD. I had been looking, and looking, and looking...and I finally saw them. They were $24, so not too bad.

Are they the foam ones or clay???Not a bad price at all..I need a few more and really like the style of yours...TIA...

MARIGOLDS! Duh, you're right. I have a backyard full of GERANIUMS, duhhhhhhhhh!

And thanks for identifying the purple fountain grass. I bought three pots of green grass (similar to yours) from the Lowe's clearance table for $.75 each. They were near death and only needed watering and care. They are 4x as large today. I want to create some containers with the fountain grass spikes just like yours.

Thanks for sharing.

Demstratt, the pot is one of those plastic resin-types.

Meig,
Where'd you get your pot?

Gymgirl, I found them at Home Depot about a month ago.
