How far down the alphabet - 2005

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

How far did we get down the alpha-Hurricane list by this time last year?

Thank God it doesn't seem so bad this year.. The waters are quiet, fronts are weak, and there aren't near the weather-related disasters we had last year ...

I just scrolled through old Rita threads, and got a flush of memory-panic on how scary it was last year ... I'm just thankful it doesn't seem as bad as it did last year ...

Perhaps the Gulf area's respite [and too dry] is the over abundance of wind, hail, and rain in more northern regions up to now.

It's not too dry at my house... I'm just south-west of Houston... and we've had our fair share of early-summer downpours...

we started into the greek alphabet... alpha, beta.. I'm not sure how far we got into that

Emily became a Hurricane this date last year. That's "#5" down the alphabet. Holy toledo! We have only had 1 so far this year. What a blessing!
