Hi i have a bean tepee, where 3 of the pole bean plants (french fillet, real pretty with little lavender flowers) produce healthy tasty green beans, but the other 3 plants, produce yellow looking one's that taste ok, but are no way as good as the other 3 plants. They are all the same type of plant so should all look the same.
i am wondering if i need to amend or water more, the 3 that are yellow looking are all on the same side of the tepee.
The plants all have green looking leaves and stems, but there is a slight yellowing to the stems of the yellow producing bean plants and their production is slightly less than the green producing bean plants.
Anyone any idea, as if i can correct whatever is wrong i would love to hear from you
Diane
Pole beans need help??
Methinks that three of your plants are yellow wax beans. Never had a green bean turn yellow under any circumstances. Paler maybe but not yellow.
I thought that, but another of my plants that already produces green beans is now producing yellow beans ????
