A good vantage point

I didn't notice this little guy at first when I was checking the offset on my Echeveria. He was hiding in the pot between the soil and leaves. A bit later towards dusk he had come out a little more.

Terrific photo! I do love toads and frogs, and I've taught my granddaughter to as well. She has a lizard bite on her lip to prove it.

That is a cute little frog!!

Can anyone tell me what kind he is?

Looks like he might be a Gray Treefrog (Hyla versicolor). Not only is there variation in the coloration and markings amongst the species but individual Gray Frogs can display a multitude of color combos all in the same day. Really neat frogs.

Editing to add- great photos. Particularly loved the one of the little guy peeking over the edge of the pot. I don't know if you are aware of this but their presence is an indicator of a healthy ecosystem.

I really like the color of that little guy. He looks just like a piece of granite.

Great photos - thanks for sharing.
