LUNA HIBISCUS

Cordele, GA

Will the Luna series hibiscus make a second flush of blooms if they are cut back after flowering? Mine has been lovely but it looks like it is trying to set lots of seed pods and I would rather have more flowers. What do you think? Should I cut it back , feed and water, or let the seed mature. I know that it is roothardy here and we have a long growing season. I am tempted to try for more flowers.

I used to keep the seedpods deadheaded asap until it's last bloom stage, which I believe was in the fall, correct me if I'm wrong someone.

Thanks Vi

I will go and cut back today. I would rather have bloom than seed right now. The yard is looking very 'green' with only spots of bloom.
