Hi,
Does anyone know the name of this TB Iris? I was so sure I would remember....but I'm sure you know how that sometimes goes.
I have several I would like to have the names of, is it ok to ask here or do I need to post on the Identification Forum?
Iris ID
Looks like..... Broadway
or broadway baby ?
Thanks Mitt & caitlinsgarden for you replies.
I got this iris several years ago along with many others.
When I planted them I made a little map showing where I had planted each new iris along with a picture of what it would look like when it bloomed and the name of each. Then I put this up for safe keeping so I wouldn't lose it.
Now I can't remember where I put it!
Having another Senior Moment I guess!!
LOL!!! I do that all the time. I now have a spiral notebook that I keep all my garden records in. I carry it ouside with me everyday to see what if anything is blooming. I keep it in my puter desk when not in use or else I am looking all over the house for it.
Are all the iris there the same kind? If so I bet they are stunning when in bloom.

Hi winnietn,
I probably have a hundred or so different color varieties, with several clumps of the same color planted together to make a good show around my yard. My mother lives next door and she is the one who really has the show stopping yard!
Many of these were starts from my Grandmothers collection, so they are quite old and would be considered the historical ones. I am not sure of their names and most likely never will be.
My Grandmother was very much ahead of her time and would crossbreed her Iris coming up with some real beauties.
Her yard was full of the most beautiful flowers!
Your spiral notebook sounds like a wonderful idea. I will give this a try myself. Maybe if I just keep the notebook out in plain site or in my desk as you do, I won't lose it this time. Sometimes I feel I need to leave myself notes to tell me where I put stuff but then I probably would just lose the note! lol
