variegated cast iron

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I got these last year and they have continued to grow well and hold their variegation.

Very pretty........I have the regular cast iron plants and they suffer due to the amount of morning sun they get. They are definitely for total shade I've learned.

bugme, my variegated are planted in a location similar to yours, I've come to the same conclusion, but I am not moving them just yet. Hope I don't regret it.

I thought mine would be in enough shade but the taller leaves are definitely sunburned and UGLY!! Best of luck to you with your beauty but I'm definitely moving mine this winter........too hot and dry here right now.

The variegated is gorgeous! I will second the location of planting aspidistra. I have them planted along a fence in almost total shade. They are healthy green. For concealment, I planted a row in front of the propane tank. They almost look worse than the tank. Too much sun, they don't quite have a cast iron constitution.
