Good Morning, all. Andy P was hinting (pretty strong hint) that it was time to start a new thread on this with well over 200 wonderful postings in Part 2. So I'll pick up the ball. Here's my first daylily, other than Stella, to bloom this year, in spite of the thunderstorms yesterday, with hail. I don't know the variety and it is much darker red than the pic would indicate.

What's Growing, Part 3
Anita - you are growing your own tobacco again this year huh. What is the round orange one on top left of the P?
Hey Al - yes I am! I have pow wow's under the full moons! Top left is a wintersown Zinnia.
I noticed the Nicotina, too. LOL. It doesn't smoke very well but the flowers often have a nice fragrance.
I took another look at that neglected DL this morning. How could I forget about such a pretty thing? It must be all the rain that has made it flower so much.
A fresh pic taken an hour ago.

Andy, the markings on the throat of the yellow are striking. But, in all fairness, you do seem to have a lot to keep track of. And it must be nice to find surprises. The color on your gas meter cover is great!

I love the bright pink with the white throat.
This 'Arctic Queen' clematis is just getting established, but it sure has some gorgeous big blooms. Planted last year and didn't bloom, thought I lost it over the winter, but it's hanging in there.

hmmm...not the best focused pic. I was trying to beat the thunderstorms again.

That's a pretty one, YankeeCat. I didn't know there was a yellow Star Gazer.
Ayankeecat,
I always wanted to see a good picture of yellow star gazer, not a catalog picture. Thats a really pretty color and it looks big! I may have to get me one.
Anita, Nice photos. Your statue(s) looked great! (I think there was one at the foot of your pixie.)
Could you supply a close up?
Dave
Anita, I found it on the other thread. Its an unusually pretty one. (like the frog too.)

Oooh everybody has such nice pics. BigCity, that is beautiful!
pixie62560 - I tried to measure the star gazer - but the petals are curved back. So - excluding the curved back part of the leaves - it is about 4" across. The plants are about 3' tall or a little taller.
I can't wait for my lilies to open...
Mine started today!
Andy, with comcast internet I now get "photshow" I will need a tutorial. Right now we are trying to figure out why noone can open the photoshow my DW emailed them. Privacy adjustment?
djs, that's a nice soft yellow, like lemon sherbet
Oh boy, that yellow is so scrumptious.
I agree, Lovely yellow!
Dave, Did you put the PhotoShow in the "Favorites" gallery?
DM me if you need to, I'll help if I can.
djs, I like that one, is it a repeat bloomer too?
Al, love Stargazers.
Andy P
bigcityal,
Thats beautiful, I love star gazer too, can't wait for mine to bloom!
Al - that's a poppy. I wintersowed a whole bunch of California Poppy and I just love them!
Thanks Dave - My mother gave me the Pooh.
Boy there's a war now with those 2 ;)
