Help Identify this problem

My wax myrtle is developing brown spotty areas -- looks almost like it is being eaten?? Research on-line did not show any diseases or pests that are common to the wax myrtle. Anyone see this before? Help!

P.S. Has gotten enough water (so far)

Looks like what is happening to my cucumber plant. Thought it was sunscald at first, but now leaning towards pests. A DIY picture shows a plant in this condition and describes it as beetle or fly damage.

I'm not a good authority on the subject though, since I'm still not positive that that's what has been messing with my plant.

Try hanging some fly paper around your tree (that's what the DIY article said to do) and see what pops up.

I did notice beetles (I think) eating away at my shasta daisys located in a flower bed near the wax myrtles. I will use the same treatment on the myrtles. thanks.

Looks like it could be cucumber beetles. I had the same problem. I had to pull out some of my squash and pumpkin vines because of them.
