What is this hanging plant?

Dubuque, IA(Zone 5a)

I do not know what this plant is. Any info on name and care would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gracie

Looks like a wax leaf begonia to me. Variegated leaves and nice pink blooms.

Needs shade and quite a bit of water, but don't overwater. Is that contradictory? LOL

I have a bunch of them every year because they stay nice all summer if kept shaded.

Nice picture too.

I agree. And moist but not wet is the way to go. Remember tho, that cocoanut fiber doesn't hold water well at all.

It is a waxed begonia. Put a pampers baby diaper in the bottom of the pot next time and it will hod some moisture for a while.

Au contraire, Leaflady. Coconut husk chips (CHC) hold 7 times their dry weight in water, and coconut fiber holds 8-10 times it's dry weight in water. http://www.down-to-earth.com/coir.html

I now use CHC (the chips) instead of pine bark as the principle ingredient in my container mixes. Roots absolutely lock on to CHC. I repotted a Crassula this morning, and I could not get the chips off of the roots.
