I got this maple last year and a newly garfted whip. It wants to grow horizontally rather than upright so I decided to try it in a pot...I may try bonsai-ing later. At this point, it looks OK as is.
Pot grown Aka Shigitatsu Sawa
mime is a 4 year old and it grows more horizontally I am training it to be a little more upright...but yours is shaped like mine albeit much lighter.... David
Todd, that is a really nice tree.
lovely Todd. Are those succulents in the pot with it?
I poked in a few sempervivums to make the pots look more attractive.
I think it is lovely and you picked a nice pot for it too. The hens and chicks are very "rock like" as underplantings...nice idea.
