I got this one from Wayside last Fall in a tiny 2 inch pot. I really didn't expect much from it this year. The few blooms it has are already fading, but I have a new camera and just had to take a photo.
Clematis Ruutel
Congrats on the new camera, and your clematis is really pretty. It must be happy to do so much so soon! :~)
I got a Ruutel from WS last spring, bare root and I thought no way this is gonna grow, much less bloom. I've only had 4 or 5 flowers on it this year and they weren't near the size they're supposed to be. Maybe next year.

They don't seem to be as big as Nelly Moser or Miss Bateman, but I think these are the size they will be once mature.
Ruutel is a beautiful dark red Clematis and it really stands out well against your white siding. It's a vigorous grower and each year it will reward you with more of its stunning flowers!
