Starbucks will give me all the coffee grounds I can carry away; I am hoping a local grocer will give me his bad bananas when he discards them. At this time I am covering my rose bed (between the roses) with cardboard and newspapers. I intend to add other things too like the fresh wood chips from the electric company's tree worker, and the coffee grounds and bananas. I will try to collect pine needles, lawn clippings (I don't have a lawn,) and anything else I can think of. Any suggestions or more ideas for free material I can sandwich over the rose beds? Will I get a bunch of worms?
