Hi all! I was just harvesting the first strawberries of the year and in the last couple of days ants have started building their nests around a handful of plants. I don' t mean next to the plants either, but right inside them with the cone/exit of their nest rising up the stems of the strawberry plants.
How can I get rid of them, preferably without chemicals or killing the plants?
Thank you!
Jacqui
strawberries have ants
We use DE (diamateous earth) which is ground up fossilized fish skeletons. It needs to be dry. I stir up the mound a little bit to make sure all the fire ants get coated.
