Binoculars for Birdwatching

I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction for purchasing a relatively inexpensive binoculars for butterfly watching? I have found a lot of info on Google and AOL but they just overwhelm me. I am hoping I can get a forum that I could ask about the binoculars.
