Has anyone read the book "The Cholesterol Myth"?

I am resisting my doctors suggestion that I start taking cholesterol lowering medication. The author of this book is a scientist/ independent researcher from Sweden who disagrees with the whole "the lower the cholesterol the better" theory. Very provocative reading.
