I'm growing corn in my homemade EB. I planted 12 seeds and got 12 seedlings. Since the corn has grown larger I now have what looks like 2-3 additional stalks growing from the same plant (one of them has a flower coming out of the top even though it's only 2' tall), please see the picture. What I'm wondering is, is this normal? Should I be concerned? Are these going to effect the size or quality of the ears? Should I cut these off?
Thanks!

Multiple Stalks of Corn Growing from Each Seed
Joe - It is fairly normal for corn to put out suckers as yous is doing. I always cut mine off as they just take energy from the main stem. If you catch them when they first sprout up you can just snap them off. I would cut the ones you now have as close to the surface of the bed as you can

Thanks, that's exactly the info I was looking for!
