Who is this rusty-maroonish girl?

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

These came from my neighbor's' yard. They've moved in with their daughter and I have permission to transplant anything I want before they put the house up for sale. Its blooms are only about 24" from the ground and measure maybe 5-6" high. I only had one bloom to photograph and I forgot to measure it! That's a mauvy-pink and yellow alsromeria in with it in the green glass vase, just to give you an idea of color and scale. The others I've already dug up; they're divided and have their fans cut back ready for transplant.

Anyone?

I've checked out a couple possibilites, but none of them were right. I don't know what cultivar it is, but it sure if pretty.

It's a tough one to ID, as there are alot of red selfs. But it does look historic and definitely a 'keeper'. A 5" bloom? That's quite large; It may very well grow taller once it is transplanted and given good care.

Is that a bit of white spray I see around the beard? Or is that just the picture?

No, no spray - it's just how the light hit it.
