We finally got our cattle chute operational today. I was able to get some medications onto the cows back to keep the flys from bothering them so much. Put new tags in their ears. These tags are supposed to have insect repellant in them. We will see how well they work. We ran the cows thru first and then the calves.....should have done the calves first. The moms kept hanging around because they could hear their calves balling. Banded one bull calf. I thought he would kick and go crazy...but he just stood there.
