Does anyone know of an online source for this fern in the US?

ISO cyathea medullaris
Good Luck! I googled it and found it to be commonly known as Black Tree Fern. It is native to New Zealand but cannot be exported because there is a ban on exporting ferns with roots. I also found it for sale in the UK but every place offering it was out of stock. No other sources. Guess you'll have to fly to New Zealand and smuggle it out!
This place might have one or two: http://www.thimblefarms.com/98ferntf.html
Check out the fernfactory... they often have C medularis, though I see right now they are supposedly sold out. But that also might not be updated... write them.
Yes, I found them last night and wrote them... Unfortunately, no reply yet :(
If you are close enough to Los Angeles (don't know where Union City is) there is a good fern show/sale in the early fall, and I have yet to be to one that didn't have that species for sale.
Well I finally got two of these from fernfactory, they arrived today impeccably packed. Now I just have to figure out where to plant them :)
Also, I'm back!

Another question, would it be better to plant these now, or wait until spring?
