Honey Fungus

Marietta, GA(Zone 7b)

Help! I think We have honey fungus(also called bootlace fungus) in the wooded side of our yard.we have lost one azalea bush and I fear for three more, plus one of our Dogwoods has started to drop a few too many leaves.Over the last few years we have lost several other trees in that area where an old stump that had several large mushrooms growing on it is decomposing.Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do? I have just planted seven hydrangea, twelve hostas and eight fern, I think the ferns and hostas are safe, but I'm sure the hydrangea will have to be moved, unless someone knows a better solution. Thankyou
