When and how to divide them?

I have just a few. I think they are Dutch?

I LOVE irises but am just learning about them... I have been reading the plant files.

Noell, I think that it's a daylily. When it opens tomorrow you'll know. I could be wrong, but whatever it is doesn't look as if it should be divided. If it's a daylily or an iris though they can wait about 3-4 years before being divided depending on the plant and how close they are to each other.

Noell, I'm down in southeast texas. It gets very hot and humid here. I, too, would love to have some beautiful iris. We have planted two varieties of the louisiana iris. They are known as a bog plant. They can handle alot of water. I am getting ready to order some bearded iris and give them a try. I want to plant a bed of the rebloomer, Immortality. I just won't water them as often. I am fairly new to DG. I have really enjoyed it.
