Look what I found

Ok, might not be the place considering the trouble some of you have with these critters but....

I found two young twitterpated deer in my yard this morning grazing. The pics aren't too clear but it was awe inspiring to have a young buck look you straight in the eye at 6 AM. The family watched as they went about trying to find out how they got into my chain linked yard without touching a single plant (except the grass).

Just had to share.

Roni,

I have a similar view every day as the deer come up outside my window a few feet from one of the iris beds to eat salt off of the driveway.

While I don't envy you (because they eat your plants) I do think it was an awesome experience for the family to witness.

Your picture is so clear -- what camera do you use?

I really enjoy seeing and watching the deer. They often graze in the pastures with my horses. If the Bossy Aussies see them, they'll try to chase them off. The deer return as soon as the dogs' backs are turned, though. I have my two primary iris beds fenced now, so the deer aren't so bothersome.

I'm still using my Nikon CoolPix 800 -- a dinosaur by current digicam standards.

Laurie
