These are from the grocery store and I just didn't eat them in time. So, I planted them in my veggie garden. Now what? ;-) Do I just dig them up at the end of the season and see what's there? Tamara
Potatoes with eyes and sprouting onions
Potatoes: How high are the plants? You can hill them a bit as they get over a foot or so, then a month later or so. Are they blossoming yet? I'd stick my hand in the dirt around them around mid-July to see if they're getting nice tubers or what.
Actually, I can't see the potatoes yet. Did I bury them too deeply? I covered them with about 2-3" soil. Tamara
No. That is about the right depth. They take a while to emerge. When they do, just follow Zeppy's advice.
