OK....so right next to my eggplant, I noticed these two little plants emerging from the ground. They were (of course) in the cotyledon stage, and I knew they weren't weeds so I let them stay to see what they are. They are cukes! They now have grown some and I went out this morning and they have the same leaves as my cucumbers. They are also in the spot where I grew cukes last year. I've never heard of volunteer cucumbers. But then again, I'm only in my second year of this. They are so healthy, I've decided to let them stay. I'll give them a cage to climb later today. Also, I saw my first brocoli!!!!! It look so cute sitting in the middle of the plant.
Oh...and my watermelon is FINALLY taking off now that the mornings and nights are warm!!! Yippee!!!!
