The flower looks so shimmery, Shirley! That cute little ladybug just wants to see it up close. LOL I love the nodding ones, they remind me of fairy skirts. :~) Really pretty.

Thanks so much everyone! Yes, it does have a shimmery look to the tepals. I can't say its vigorous or floriferous. I'll cut it way back in very early Spring and see if it helps to invigorate this Clematis.

It's a pruning group 3 integrifolia isn't it??..I would think you prune it back each year..it is lovely...I am really thinking about getting Blue Bird...such yummy Clematis
