Repelling deer and rabbits

It really isn't hard. Just mix meat juices or blood with some hot pepper sauce like Tabasco and garlic powder. Add a bit of water and spray or sprinkle it on the plants and on the ground around the beds. Neither of these animals like the smell of blood and both dislike garlic and hot pepper taste. All this stuff is harmless to the environment and even the animals themselve(except their taste buds), is cheap and most of us have these 3 ingredients on hand most of the time. You only need to do it after rains and watering most of the time. I did it weekly at the tomato bed at the cafe' for a couple years and there has been no sign of damage at all this year. I guess word has gotten around in the animal kingdom over there that those plants in that bed smell & taste terrible. I've heard of using eggs and milk too as they will spoil and repel the critters. Blood meal works well too and is a good fertilizer.
