The picture does not do justice. I got goosebumps the first time I saw the blooms. They were just exquisite. The little pale yellow on the pedals and orange beards do not show in the picture. The flowers lasted about 1 week.

I purchases the rhizomes from Schreiner's Iris farm two years ago. The first year I got a few flowers from the two other irises that did not bloom this year. This one did not bloom last year but it was worth waiting to get to see them this year. One irises out of six rhizomes went to heaven due to too much water in late fall or something. No, I did not pull them up. I left them all in the ground the whole winter.

Yes, I got the Iris from Schreiners Iris Farm via their website - http://www.schreinersgardens.com/

The name of the Iris is Amity Estate - Price:7.50 each.
